Q: How do I hire a Jumping Castle?

Q:How much notice do you need for a jumping castle booking?
That really depends on the time of year (warmer times book out earlier) and which castle you want to book (some designs are quite popular). Also, if you want a specific castle design to fit in with a theme you would need to secure it early. To be quite confident of getting what you want, at the time you want, we suggest booking 4-6 weeks in advance (more for corporate or Christmas bookings). If you find there is less time than that then please still contact us as we have a large number of jumping castles and should be able to set you up with something suitable.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
Cash payments can be made on delivery, depositing online or PAYPAL secure online banking option or pay

Q: When do you deliver?
At Wonderland Jumping castles Jumping Castles we are committed to deliver and setup your item on or before your requested schedule. For indoor events where specific time slots are allocated for bookings we make sure to deliver and pick up on time, for outdoor bookings we are more flexible with time. On a day where several castles are booked for the same time i.e. (4 castles are booked to be delivered at 2 pm and are all on the different sides of the city) in order to deliver all castles on time our driver might deliver your castle much earlier than your requested time of delivery and you will not be charged any extra for this.

Q: What happens if the Driver is late?
Considering the same scenario of several castles booked at the same time for delivery around Sydney some time due to unexpected traffic conditions, breakdowns and delays due to difficult access to a location the driver might be delayed, the driver or our staff will ring you and notify you of the delay, we might offer extra time (equivalent to delayed time) to compensate. No further discounts will be given.

Q: Do you Charge for Delivery and Setup?
Delivery and setup is absolutely FREE within 10 k radios from our warehouse in TOONGABBIE.

Q: How much access is required for the Hire Jumping Castle Sydney setup?
Minimum 1 meter space is required, in case of narrow, uneven or steps please notify us in advance.

Q: How much room should I leave for the castles?
Each castle is different in size, our range of castles are from 3.5m to 10 m in length and 3.5m to 5m in width, Please check the sizes for our castles online at www.wonderlandjumpingcastles.com.au and allow at least 1m extra space around the castle for blower and setup and ensure that a power supply is nearby.

Q: Can the Castles be set up on any surface?
Our jumping castles can be placed on most surfaces i.e. grass, timber deck, concrete etc. as far as it is flat, even and clear from any sharp objects, stones, tree branches, garden waste and any animal waste that may damage or dirty the Castles.

Q: What I need to know about safety procedures in regards to my surface?
A grassed area is by far the safest as we can peg the castle down securely and know that it won’t go anywhere. Some of our smaller jumping castles can be set up on concrete/smooth bitumen using sand bags and a safety crash mat for the entrance. This type of set up requires one of our trained operators to supervise. We can also set up on artificial turf. Sandbags are required and depending on the site, sometimes a crash mat and a supervisor are also required. Dirt, mulch, rough concrete/bitumen and/or gravel are not suitable surfaces for jumping castles at any time. A site inspection is required for any booking wanted for any surface other than normal grass to make sure the surface and space is suitable.

Q: Can I have castle set up in a Park, Picnic Point, Sport Ground or Public Reserves?
Yes. If you require us to set up in a public reserve or park you must have permission from the council & check if there are any requirements or fees. The ground must also be clear of any sharp objects or obstructions prior to castle arrival & set up. You might need to hire a generator if there is not power supply to run the blower.

Q: Are your castles hygiene?
Yes, our castles are cleaned regularly, our staff take measures to ensure our castles are cleaned by cleaning them with an antibacterial solution and vacuuming them in order to uphold a safe, healthy and hygienic environment. Sometimes if the castles are booked without sufficient time in between the castle will be cleaned onsite before any use.

Q: Who will setup the tarp/rain cover?
The Hirer is responsible for the installation and setup of the rain cover. We only provide the tarps/rain covers upon request and do not setup as we do not know the requirements of your premises.

Q: Do you require a deposit?
We pride ourselves in providing best and reliable service, we welcome all genuine bookings, deposit is not compulsory, but to have peace of mind that we will deliver your item on the date and time confirmed by you it is always recommended to put a deposit to secure the delivery of your favorite jumping castle.

Q: What are the basic requirements for any jumping castle set up?
Every castle booking requires a level ground area at least the size indicated for each castle (go to the castle description page), preferably grassed – see question 7 below. This area also needs to have open space above it so look out for trees, power lines, pergolas etc that encroach on to your designated ground space. Most of our castles are at least 4m tall. Then we need access to power for the full booking time (a generator can be hired for use at a park) and we need access to get the castle in and out. For the backyard castle bookings a pathway at least 1m wide is needed and maneuvering the castle up and over stairs, decks or any other structures/obstacles is generally not possible. If you are not sure as to the suitability of your site please phone the office to arrange a site inspection.

Q: Do I need a Generator?
If you are having an outdoor event in the park or a playground where a power point is not available you do need a generator. The hirer can organize his own generator or Wonderland Jumping Castles can facilitate it for you.

Q: How different “Just Bounce/Jumping castle” are from “Combo Castles”?
“Just Bounce/only jumping castles” are traditional jumping castles with dedicated jumping area only, “Combo castles” are equipped with more built in features such as built in slide/basketball hoop/obstacles as well as the dedicated jumping area.

Q: What is required to make a booking?
We need to get all the details about you and the party/event and then we require a deposit to be paid in order to secure your booking. See “booking terms and conditions” for more details about the payment options.

Q: How long does the castle stay at my house/event for?
The minimum hire time is generally 4 hours although we do offer longer time slots if required. For all castle bookings the start times are on the hour (depending on availability on the day) and the castles are available at any time during daylight hours.

Q: How long does it take to set up the Castle?
Please allow 15 minutes to assemble and 15 minutes to dismantle and pack up. It might take longer to setup and pack up depending on pathways, steps and any other obstacles i.e. air conditioning units, water heaters or un even surface.

Q: Is the set up and pack up done within my booked time?
No the set up and pack up is always done outside your booked time. For backyard parties the set up and/or pack up can be done anytime during the 2 hours prior to your booked start time. This is because we have many castles to set up and we usually fit a couple in at the one time so someone gets theirs early. For supervised bookings the castle will generally be set up in the 30-60 minutes prior to your booked start time. Access will need to be available so if we are planning on setting your castle up early we will phone you to make sure someone is at home or onsite at the required time.

Q: What sizes are the jumping castles?
We have many different sized castles available. Some are suitable for back yards and others are best in a park or open space. The description is on our pages where there is information about the sizes and space requirements for each castle.

Q: Does someone need to supervise the kids while on the castle?
Yes, the children need to be supervised at all times by an adult over 18 years. When in your backyard this can be anyone appointed by you who is suitable. When in a park or on a concrete/hard surface the castle will need to be supervised by one of our trained staff.

Q: What are the costs for each jumping castle?
As we have many different castles and there are many different set up/location/timing possibilities we prefer to quote you over the phone or email for your particular event requirements.

12) What ages can go on the jumping castles?
Most of our Jumping Castles are suitable for children up to 12 years of age. However, there are some exceptions. Go to our jumping castles description page where there is information about the age requirements for each castle. Also, you could tell us about your event and what you would like, and we may be able to suggest a castle/ride that is suitable.

Q: What is the latest time that I am able to keep my castle booking for?
In Wonderland Jumping Castles we offer the safest when used in regular daytime and consequently have to be packed up before sunset at any given time of the year. We generally have a 5pm latest end time from June – August and a 8pm end time in November – March and for the rest of the year or complex situations, Please phone the office to check for your event date.

Q: I have booked a castle and the weather doesn’t look good. What happens if it rains?
Jumping castles are not much fun in the rain. Even though they have covers, they don’t stay completely dry and the kids will get wet feet going in and out of the ride as well. This makes the risk of slipping over much greater. There is also an electric blower continually attached to the castle, which cannot be left running in the rain. It is for these reasons that we don’t set up rides/castles in the rain. If the weather is uncertain on the day of your booking there are 3 options you can choose from. For private backyard events go to the jumping castle booking “terms and conditions” page where your options on a wet day are listed. Some times there is only chance of light shower and drizzling. In this case you can talk to our staff and secure a cover for our blower. Electrical joint case covers are provided by Wonderland Jumping Castles. 20) Is there anything else I need to know?
Please be aware that streamers, poppers, silly string, chewing gum, food and drink must be kept out of the castles at all times. Pets must be locked away out of reach of the castle for the entire booking time. You also need to keep any naked flame – outdoor fire, fireworks, and cigarettes well away from us. Children must also be completely dry in order to ride.
